Stonework services for Garissa homes and developments
Every service we offer starts and ends on your site, managed by the same local crew from first course to final inspection.
What's included in every job
Before we quote, we visit your site, measure the scope, and note ground conditions. You receive a written estimate that separates materials from labour — no surprise line items after work begins. All our stonework is cured properly before we consider a job complete: we don't photograph a fresh-wet surface and call it done. Dust and site debris are cleared at the end of each working day, because this is your neighbourhood and we live here too. If any course falls below our own standard on inspection, it comes out and gets relaid at no additional charge.
Our full range
Select the service that fits your project — or mix several into one scoped job.
-
Boundary Walling
New perimeter and security walls in random rubble, coursed sandstone, or split-face block. Foundation trenches excavated by hand where machine access is restricted, fully backfilled and tamped. Capping in dressed stone or concrete to your specification. Typical residential boundary: 90 m completed in 12–16 working days depending on height and ground conditions.
-
Stone Cladding and Veneering
Natural and engineered stone panels applied to blockwork, concrete, or stabilised earth walls. We pre-layout each elevation in the yard so joins and grain direction are approved before a single panel is bonded. Suitable for gate pillars, shopfronts, living-room feature walls, and hotel lobby surfaces. Adhesive specification provided on request.
-
Paving, Courtyards, and Driveways
Flagstone and cut-tile hard landscaping for residential compounds, commercial car parks, and community spaces. Sub-base prepared to 150 mm compacted hardcore minimum. Edge restraints installed before any surface stone is laid. Ideal for Garissa's dry season when ground is stable and curing times are short.
-
Interior Stone Floors and Surfaces
Polished or honed slate and sandstone floors for living areas, corridors, and bathrooms. We recommend slate for bathroom floors in Garissa because it stays cooler underfoot than ceramic tile through the mid-afternoon heat. Levelling screed supplied and cured before any stone is laid; grouting sealed on completion.
-
Repairs, Repointing, and Stabilisation
Mortar joint repointing using a lime-cement blend that matches the original mix's flexibility. Spalled or fractured face stones replaced with matched material from our yard stock. Bulging or leaning sections assessed structurally before any cosmetic work begins — if a rebuild is safer and cheaper long term, we'll say so clearly.
“They clad the gate pillars and compound wall of our Garissa guesthouse in split-face sandstone — a look I'd seen in Nairobi but couldn't find anyone locally to deliver. Deltarstone matched the stone tone across three separate deliveries without a visible join. Guests still ask about it.”

Common questions before you book
Do you supply the stone or should I source it myself?
We supply all stone as part of the job unless you specifically want to source a particular material. Our yard stock covers the most common Garissa project types. If you want an imported stone we don't carry, we'll source it and add the landed cost to the estimate transparently.
Can you work on a phased build — foundation now, cladding later?
Yes. Many clients in Garissa build in stages as funds allow. We'll note the scope of each phase in the estimate so there's no dispute about what was agreed when the next phase starts. Stone from the same quarry batch can be held in our yard for up to three months at no storage charge.
How long does a typical job take?
A 90-metre boundary wall at 1.8 m height typically runs 12–16 working days. Stone cladding on a single facade of 40 square metres usually takes 5–7 days. Repairs and repointing are quoted by linear metre and often completed in 1–3 days. We'll give you a realistic range, not a best-case number.
Do you work outside Garissa town?
We regularly work in Balambala, Dadaab, and Fafi sub-counties. For sites beyond 40 km, a transport supplement is added to the estimate. We don't take jobs in areas where site security cannot be confirmed in advance.
What if I'm not happy with part of the finished work?
Tell us before we demobilise. We inspect the job with you at handover, note any sections you want reviewed, and fix them before final payment is due. We don't ask for full payment on a job you haven't signed off.
